A writer known for his works (and lifelong obsession with) fungi of all kinds, legend has it that he discovered the strain in a field where a sacred pink buffalo had been seen. That’s how the story goes about the John W. Allen mushroom strain. We interviewed John W. Allen and asked him how it really went down. As it turns out, Pink Buffalo aren’t as rare or as sacred in Thailand as the internet would have you believe, but he did in fact discover original, psychedelic, and hallucinogenic mushroom spore strains. What is true is that this is an excellent cubes cubensis strain to study.
